Loop

Loop (2020) is a Pixar SparkShorts film directed by Erica Milsom — ten minutes long, watch it online on iFILM. It was the first Pixar short to centre a non-speaking, autistic protagonist, and it was produced without a traditional dialogue-driven script.

Renee doesn't use words. She processes the world through sounds and sensations, and when she and a talkative boy named Marcus end up paired on a canoe in the middle of an urban lake, their approaches to getting anywhere couldn't be further apart. He wants to paddle straight to shore. She stops to listen to the water. The film follows what happens when neither can simply override the other.
