Wind

"Wind" (2019) is an eight-minute animated short from director Edwin Chang you can watch online on iFILM. A grandmother and her young grandson are stranded at the bottom of a bottomless chasm.

Junk and debris drift endlessly through the void around them, and the old woman scavenges every useful scrap toward one stubborn plan — to launch her grandson up and out, toward a better life above. It's magical realism told mostly through gesture and sound, with Emilio Fuentes and Sonoko Konishi voicing the pair.
