Synopsis

Liandrin's betrayal as Black Ajah tears open the fractures inside the Aes Sedai. Nynaeve and Elayne take on the task of rooting out more Darkfriends from within — dangerous work with no margin for a wrong move. Perrin comes home to Two Rivers and finds it under siege by Trollocs; what begins as a homecoming turns into a war, and Perrin into something he never aimed to be. Rand travels to the Aiel Waste with Moiraine and Aviendha, where a trial administered by the Wise Ones forces him through version after version of his family's past and confronts him with who he actually is — not where he thought he came from. Egwene learns his secret, and the rupture between them runs the length of the season. Mat steps through a twisted doorway into a realm where beings called Eelfinn answer three wishes, at an unnamed price.
