Synopsis
I Love You, Daddy (2017) is Louis C.K.'s black-and-white comedy-drama, available to watch online on iFILM. Glen is a wildly successful TV writer with money to burn and a soft spot for his teenage daughter. Then China moves in.
At seventeen, China drifts into the orbit of Leslie Goodwin, an 80-year-old filmmaking legend with a reputation for chasing much younger women. Glen sees the danger coming and can't do a thing about it — every protest only pushes his daughter closer to the old man. Chloë Grace Moretz, John Malkovich, Rose Byrne, Charlie Day and Edie Falco round out the cast.
Shot as a deliberate homage to vintage Woody Allen, down to the jazzy score and crisp Manhattan framing, the film picks at hypocrisy, art and what a parent owes a grown child.
