Synopsis
Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) is a sci-fi action thriller from director Wes Ball that you can watch online on iFILM. This is the finale of the trilogy, where Thomas and his friends finally take the fight straight to the WCKD organization.
Dylan O'Brien returns as Thomas, leading the surviving Gladers on their most reckless run yet. Their target is the Last City, a walled WCKD stronghold ringed by traps. Minho is held captive inside, and the only way to reach him is to push through what may be the deadliest maze of them all. Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) and Teresa (Kaya Scodelario) stand with the group, while the cold Ava Paige (Patricia Clarkson) and Janson (Aidan Gillen) block the road.
Adapting the last of James Dashner's novels, the film closes out a dystopia about teenagers raised inside a plague and a lie. Ball leans on real stunts, crashes and practical fire instead of heavy CGI, so the chases land with weight. Over two hours pass with barely a breath.
