Synopsis
Here Comes the Devil (Ahí va el diablo, 2012) is a Mexican horror film from director Adrián García Bogliano, and you can watch it online on iFILM. On a family trip near Tijuana, a couple lets their young son and daughter wander off into the dry, cave-pocked hills. By nightfall the kids haven't come back.
They turn up the next morning, unharmed but somehow wrong. Quieter, distant, as if something swapped them out. Mother Sol (Laura Caro) and father Felix (Francisco Barreiro) blame the shock at first, but the strangeness keeps piling up, and a local legend about those hills grows harder to ignore. The question of what happened to the children while they were alone slowly eats the parents alive.
Bogliano shoots it like a deliberate throwback to 1970s horror: hard zoom pushes, a nervous synth score, slow-burn dread instead of cheap jump scares. It's grim, unhurried, and not for the squeamish, but the sense of creeping evil is the real thing. A find for fans of lean Latin American genre cinema.
