The backstory starts in 1968: a Pennsylvania military hospital, a bacteriological experiment gone wrong, a clean-up crew sent in to silence everyone. One test tube sealed in a vacuum flask ends up in the grass and stays there.

Decades later, the Ravenside Memorial psychiatric facility sits on the same ground. Patients find the flask. Curiosity does the rest. Shot as a prequel to George Romero's 1985 Day of the Dead, the film runs on classic B-horror logic: sealed location, contaminated group, no clean exit.
