Synopsis
Golden Boy (1995), Season 1 is a six-episode Japanese comedy OVA you can watch online on iFILM, following a perpetual student who roams the country by bicycle. Kintaro Oe cleared every requirement for a law degree at Tokyo University, then walked out before graduation — he'd rather study real life than sit through a ceremony.
Each episode drops him in a new town with a new odd job and a new woman crossing his path. He scrubs floors at an all-woman software firm, tutors a mayoral candidate's daughter, learns the udon trade, bluffs his way into a swim-coach job he isn't qualified for, serves a wealthy household, and runs errands at an animation studio. First impressions of him are always rough. By the end of every chapter he's quietly changed someone's life — and jotted the lesson into the notebook on his belt.
Director Hiroyuki Kitakubo built a rowdy, often raunchy, weirdly tender comedy about teaching yourself everything. The crude jokes turn out to be cover for genuine curiosity about people. Stream Golden Boy Season 1 online on iFILM.

Kintaro obtains a janitorial job at an all-woman software firm led by the Ferrari-driving, skimpily-clad Madame President. An electrical accident jeopardizes the firm's future, allowing Kintaro to put his newly acquired programming skills to the test.

Working as a campaign staffer for a mayoral candidate, Kintaro is assigned to tutor his boss' attractive teenaged daughter, Naoko Katsuda, who wants more from him than help with her math homework.

A car accident has left the owner of a udon restaurant temporarily handicapped, and Kintaro is helping out and learning the trade. The owner's daughter, Noriko has a well-heeled boyfriend, but a series of events leads Kintaro to doubt his sincerity.

Kintaro has challenged the local swimming coach (and former Olympic athlete) to a race, but he first needs to learn how to swim. While training, however, his situation with the coach, Ayuko Hayami is compromised.
S1·E5Unstoppable Youth
Kintaro becomes a servant in a traditional-style mansion of a wealthy family, but is quickly dismissed. He then challenges the daughter Reiko Tarayama, who abhors men and has a fetish for her motorcycle, to a race.
S1·E6Animation is Fun!
Chie is a cel-painter at the animation studio where Kintaro works as an errand-boy. Production difficulties ensue, and Kintaro must rely on old friends to pull things through.
