16+Season 1
The truth is coming.
Synopsis
Unfamiliar, Season 1 is a German spy thriller you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes following Meret and Simon, two former agents who have spent years passing as an ordinary married couple.
Their cover breaks at their daughter's birthday party. Pulled away to take in a wounded agent at their safe house, the pair set off a chain that drags the past back into the open. Someone is hunting them. They lay a trap to find out who, and instead run into familiar faces and the lies they've kept from each other for years. There's a mole inside the BND, a thread that leads to Belarus, and a relentless man named Koleev closing in on their front door. By the finale the couple's real weapon isn't a gun or a chase — it's whether they can finally tell each other the truth.
Shot in Germany, the show runs on the strain inside a marriage more than on action. Tight, six episodes, no filler. One for viewers who like European spy drama where quieter means more dangerous. Stream Unfamiliar Season 1 online on iFILM.
