Synopsis
Kleks Academy (Akademia Pana Kleksa, 2024) is a Polish family fantasy directed by Maciej Kawulski — watch it online on iFILM. A girl who looks entirely ordinary receives an invitation from Pan Kleks, an eccentric and gifted teacher running a school built on imagination. She has a personal stake in going: her father has disappeared, and she suspects the Academy holds the answer.
The film adapts Jan Brzechwa's 1946 novel, a fixture of Polish children's reading for nearly eighty years. Tomasz Kot and Piotr Fronczewski build characters that land differently depending on whether you're new to Pan Kleks or grew up with him — which is the right way to handle a legacy adaptation.
