Consent

The film is adapted from Vanessa Springora's memoir, published in 2020, in which she reconstructs what happened to her inside the city's literary elite — a world where the writer's fame functioned as a kind of permission slip, and the adults around her treated his attention as a compliment. Her mother does not understand the scale of it. The people who should intervene are too dazzled to act. Higelin holds the centre of every scene without a single false moment.
