Synopsis
Violent City (Città violenta, 1970) is a hard-edged Euro-crime thriller by Sergio Sollima that you can watch online on iFILM. Professional killer Jeff, played by Charles Bronson, survives an ambush set up by his own lover and follows her trail to New Orleans.
The double-cross leads Jeff straight to the head of a powerful syndicate. Telly Savalas plays the boss, and he gives Bronson a simple choice: join the organization or become a target. Jeff picks a third option — a one-man war. Jill Ireland is the woman he can't quite trust, the loaded gun at the center of it all. Shot on real streets and highways across France and Italy, the film opens with a car chase and never fully lets the tension drop.
Sollima built a lean revenge story where every scheme curls back on the person who set it in motion. Ennio Morricone's icy score does as much heavy lifting as the gunfire.
