The Weeping Meadow

The Weeping Meadow (Το Λιβάδι που δακρύζει, 2004) is Theo Angelopoulos' sweeping historical drama, free to watch online on iFILM. It opens on a bare Greek shore: a line of refugees in black steps off the water with suitcases and children, looking for a homeland they will never quite reach.

The film tracks Eleni (Alexandra Aidini) and the two men who love her across four decades — from the early-century exodus out of Asia Minor to the Greek Civil War.
