The End?

The End? (L'inferno fuori, 2017) is an Italian horror film from Daniele Misischia that you can watch online on iFILM. Cynical businessman Claudio gets trapped in his office elevator just as a zombie outbreak tears through the city outside.

From the cramped car he hears screams and pounding but sees almost nothing — the carnage stays beyond the doors. The lift turns into cage and shelter at once: step out and you're torn apart, stay put and hunger, thirst and isolation slowly come for your mind. Alessandro Roja carries nearly the whole runtime alone, hemmed into a couple of square metres. Produced by the Manetti brothers, it bets on claustrophobia rather than crowds of the undead — a lean genre experiment for anyone worn out by the usual zombie blockbuster. Stream The End?
