Synopsis
Evolution (Évolution, 2016) is a bleak art-house horror you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic. On a remote island, the only inhabitants are young boys and the women who call themselves their mothers.
Eleven-year-old Nicolas swims off the rocks and sees a dead body on the seabed. Or was it only a starfish? His questions keep piling up. The boys are taken to a green-walled hospital for strange treatments, and what those women actually do to their "sons" is the rot at the film's center. Max Brebant and Roxane Duran lead.
