After Death
Some saw light. Others saw darkness. All of them returned.
Synopsis
After Death (2023) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM. It asks one blunt question: what happens in the minutes after the heart stops but the mind keeps running? Directors Chris Radtke and Stephen Gray build the film from firsthand accounts of people who flatlined and came back.
The witnesses did the dying themselves. Among them are Raymond Moody, the physician who first wrote about near-death experience, surgeon Mary Neal, and pastor Don Piper. Some recall warmth and light. Others describe darkness they would rather forget. The filmmakers resist turning any of it into a sermon, letting survivors speak while neurosurgeons and researchers weigh in on the science.
Running 106 minutes, the film leans on testimony rather than spectacle. It suits viewers curious about the edge of consciousness without the usual New Age gloss. Stream After Death (2023) online on iFILM.
