Kaththi

Kaththi (2014) is a Tamil-language action drama from A.R. Murugadoss that you can watch online on iFILM. Small-time crook Kathiresan breaks out of a Kolkata prison, lands in Chennai, and runs into his exact double — a stranger named Jeevanandham, bleeding out from a gunshot.

Kathir's plan is simple at first: pose as Jeeva, grab the money, vanish. The deeper he wears another man's face, though, the clearer it gets why someone wanted Jeeva dead — and the thief ends up siding with the very people he meant to rob. Vijay plays both halves, the cynical con and the idealist, in one double role. Samantha Ruth Prabhu co-stars, and Neil Nitin Mukesh makes a cold, calculating villain.

Under Murugadoss's trademark momentum, the film folds a real argument about farmers and water rights into a mass-market actioner — rare for a hit this big to carry actual stakes.
