Synopsis
Famous Five (Fünf Freunde, 2012) is a German family adventure you can watch online on iFILM, based on Enid Blyton's beloved book series about four children and a dog who can't stay out of trouble.
George is already in a bad mood when her cousins arrive uninvited for the holidays. Then the gang stumbles on an old smugglers' cave and intercepts a radio message: George's father, Professor Quentin, has been kidnapped — someone wants his energy research badly enough to take him. The police don't believe the children. Neither does George's mum. So the Famous Five handle it themselves.
Director Mike Marzuk keeps things light and age-appropriate, transposing Blyton's summer mystery atmosphere to a German coastal setting without any strain. Solid family viewing for ages 7–12, whether they've read the books or not. Watch Famous Five online on iFILM.
