The Killer Inside Me (2010) is Michael Winterbottom's crime thriller, and you can watch it online on iFILM. A deputy sheriff in a small West Texas town looks like the gentlest man around — which is exactly the point.
Lou Ford (Casey Affleck) talks slow, smiles easy, and never seems to be in a hurry. Folks take him for a harmless bore. Underneath that act sits a cold sadist, and Lou narrates his own story, watching with quiet curiosity to see whether anyone will catch on. Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba play the two women drawn into his orbit.
The film comes from Jim Thompson's 1952 noir novel, one of the nastiest books the genre produced. Winterbottom refuses to soften it: Ford's calm voiceover sits right next to what his hands are capable of. The cast also includes Simon Baker, Bill Pullman and Elias Koteas.
