Synopsis

Marie-Louise reinvents herself as Loïe Fuller, the "electric fairy" of the Belle Époque, whose lit-up serpentine dance hypnotizes Paris. The Lumière brothers and Toulouse-Lautrec take her as their muse; her butterfly piece reaches the Grand Opera. The price is paid in her body — burns from the stage lights, wrenched arms.
Then she meets a young Isadora Duncan, a fresher talent who threatens to eclipse the woman who cleared the path. Stéphanie Di Giusto's first feature rests on Soko in the lead, with Gaspard Ulliel and Lily-Rose Depp as Duncan.
