Synopsis
Reel Rock 10 (2015) is a climbing documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Peter Mortimer, Josh Lowell, Nick Rosen and Zachary Barr — the annual anthology series that covers the year's defining moments in climbing and mountaineering.
The centrepiece is Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson's free ascent of the Dawn Wall, the nearly featureless 3,000-foot face of El Capitan in Yosemite that no one had climbed without aid before them. They spent 19 days on the wall before topping out in January 2015. The film also includes Alex Honnold on a bold free solo, bouldering segments with Daniel Woods and Jimmy Webb, and a tribute to Dean Potter — the BASE jumper and climber who died that spring in Yosemite.
