Synopsis
Trotsky (2017) is a Russian historical drama series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Alexander Kott and Konstantin Statsky, with Konstantin Khabensky in the lead role. The story opens in Mexico City, 1940: Leon Trotsky — stripped of Soviet citizenship, most of his family outlived — agrees to an eight-day interview with a Canadian journalist named Frank Jackson. The series moves through Trotsky's whole arc in flashbacks: the Jewish student from southern Russia who found revolutionary politics; the architect of the Red Army; the People's Commissar ground down by Stalin's machine and driven across half the world into exile.
