Soldiers (2004) is a Russian military comedy series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Sergei Arlanov and Andrei Golovkov. The setup is simple: two old friends who drifted apart in civilian life find each other again at the army conscription office — one a city kid, the other from a village. Neither is ready for what follows.

Aleksei Maklakov and Ivan Makhovikov play the recruits navigating hazing, unauthorized absences, and the peculiar logic of a by-the-book commander. Roman Madyanov and Boris Shcherbakov round out the officer corps, and a nurse-major-private love triangle provides the kind of off-duty drama Shakespeare would have recognized. The barracks rarely stay boring.
