Synopsis

Fresh out of prison, Johann Rettenberger picks up both of his habits at once: shattering records on long-distance courses and holding up bank branches, sometimes several in a single day. The cash means nothing to him — he barely spends it. What he needs is the running, the motion; a robbery is just another sprint against the clock. Andreas Lust plays him as a coiled spring with the emotions drained out, while Franziska Weisz is the one person trying to reach him.
