Synopsis
Another Day in Paradise (1998) is Larry Clark's crime drama, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The tagline says it plain: we live at the abyss. Two junkie couples — one weathered, one barely grown — join forces for a string of robberies that are supposed to buy them an easy stretch of road.
James Woods plays Mel, a charmer who turns vicious without warning. Melanie Griffith is Sid, tender and calculating in the same breath. A young Vincent Kartheiser is Bobby, a small-time thief being pulled toward something he can't see coming. Every score lands a little messier than the last, and the brief highs give way to withdrawal, blood and betrayal.
Clark, the provocateur behind Kids, adapted the film from ex-convict Eddie Little's novel and refused to glamorize any of it. This one is for viewers who go for raw nineties American underground and characters too far gone to rescue. Stream Another Day in Paradise (1998) online on iFILM.
