Synopsis

Killing Lincoln (2013) is a National Geographic documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Adrian Moat and narrated by Tom Hanks. The film draws on the bestselling account by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard.

Five days after Lee handed over at Appomattox, John Wilkes Booth enters the Presidential Box at Ford's Theatre and fires. But the plan is larger than one bullet: his co-conspirators are moving simultaneously against Vice President Johnson and Secretary of State William Seward, aiming to topple the Union government in a single night. Billy Campbell plays Booth; Brett Dalton portrays a young Confederate caught up in the scheme. Part of the shoot took place at the real Ford's Theatre.

What follows is a twelve-day manhunt, reconstructed from period documents and survivor accounts. The film is methodical rather than dramatic — its interest is mechanics, not martyrdom. Stream Killing Lincoln (2013) in full on iFILM.
