Soaked in Bleach

The spine of the film is Tom Grant, the private investigator Courtney Love hired days before the Nirvana frontman died. Director Benjamin Statler braids staged reenactments — Daniel Roebuck plays Grant — with archival footage and expert voices, among them forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht, working through the holes he sees in the Seattle police case piece by piece.
