Synopsis
Me Too (Yo, también, 2009) is a Spanish drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Álvaro Pastor and Antonio Naharro. Daniel is 34, has Down's syndrome, and has just become the first person with Down's syndrome in Europe to hold a university degree. On his first day at a social services department he meets Laura — and nothing goes the way either of them expected.
Lola Dueñas plays Laura as someone who burns through her nights in clubs and strangers' company, carrying something she won't name. Pablo Pineda, who plays Daniel, has Down's syndrome in real life, which pulls the film entirely away from inspiration territory and into something more grounded. The friction between the two characters is neither explained away nor resolved neatly.
