Synopsis
7 Emotions (7 uczuć, 2018) is a Polish drama-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Marek Koterski reunites with his alter-ego character Adaś Miauczyński — played here by Michał Koterski, the director's own son — a chronically anxious, functionally confused middle-aged man who can't seem to work out why adulthood keeps defeating him.
The answer, or at least the attempt at one, lies in childhood. Adaś retraces seven emotions he never learned to name or feel properly: fear, anger, sadness, joy, disgust, envy, shame. What he finds isn't the uncomplicated past he was expecting. Koterski's comedy has always lived in the gap between what a person thinks they feel and what they actually feel — this one just makes the excavation literal.
