The Body

The Body (2001) is a religious thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Director Jonas McCord sets the film in Jerusalem, where Israeli archaeologist Sharon Golban (Olivia Williams) uncovers a sealed tomb beneath an unremarkable shop front on an old city street.

The skeleton inside carries the hallmarks of crucifixion — perforated wrists and ankles, a coin from Pontius Pilate's era, traces of a thorned headpiece. The Vatican dispatches Father Matt Gutierrez (Antonio Banderas) to verify or suppress the finding before word escapes. Derek Jacobi and John Shrapnel play the church officials applying pressure from above.
