Antboy

Antboy (2013) is Denmark's first homegrown superhero film, available to watch online on iFILM. Directed by Ask Hasselbalch, it adapts Kenneth Bøgh Andersen's popular book series and stars Oscar Dietz as twelve-year-old Pelle.

Pelle gets bitten by an ant and wakes up the next morning able to lift a hundred times his own body weight — and to spit formic acid. His comic-obsessed friend Wilhelm handles the branding: a costume, a name, a secret identity. Antboy is open for business.

Then a genuinely unhinged villain called The Flea shows up with a plan that only makes sense to him. What started as backyard experiments in a quiet Danish suburb turns into a real showdown.
