Synopsis
"World War III" (جنگ جهانی سوم, 2023) — watch online this Iranian drama on iFILM, directed by Houman Seyyedi. Shakib is a homeless day laborer carrying a specific, unfixable loss: an earthquake took his wife and son years ago. The one thing keeping him going is Ladan, a deaf-mute woman he has slowly built a life alongside.
The construction site where he's working turns out to be a film set — a production recreating Nazi-era atrocities. Against all odds, Shakib is cast as an actor, handed a room, and handed something rarer: a version of himself that might amount to something. When Ladan shows up desperate and asking for help, he tries to hide her on set. That decision unravels everything.
Seyyedi builds a film about the near-zero margin a person in Shakib's position actually has — every small gain fragile, every wrong move catastrophic. Lead actor Mohsen Tanabandeh carries the film with barely a word more than necessary. Stream "World War III" (2023) online on iFILM.
