Synopsis
Hands of Stone (2016) is a boxing drama you can watch online about Panamanian fighter Roberto Duran, and its real draw is the pairing at its center. Edgar Ramirez plays Duran. Robert De Niro plays Ray Arcel, the aging trainer who agrees to mold him.
Duran fought like a kid still angry at the poverty he climbed out of in Panama City. Arcel hands him discipline and ring strategy to go with the fury. The story tracks him from back-alley brawls to three bouts with Sugar Ray Leonard, all the way to the infamous "No más" moment, when Duran quit mid-fight and nearly burned his own legend to the ground. Ana de Armas appears as his wife; singer Usher steps in as Leonard.
