No longitude, no country, no further clues. He sets out to find him, bringing Grant's children Mary and Robert along. The search covers Patagonia, the Argentine pampas, New Zealand mountain passes, and the open Pacific — each leg of the journey presenting new hazards and new characters. Alexander Abdulov and Nikolai Yeremenko are among the cast that keeps Verne's globe-trotting pace feeling genuinely energetic rather than staged.
