Bourgeois's Birthday (День рождения Буржуя, 2000) is a Russian-Ukrainian crime series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Anatoly Mateshko. Valery Nikolaev plays Vladimir Kovalenko — a self-made 1990s businessman who picked up the nickname "Burzhuoy" as an orphanage kid, because he understood money before most children understood lunch.

He has built everything himself: a solid business, a name on the street, a partner he loves (Irina Apeksimova). The one thing missing is any knowledge of who he actually is — no real surname, no family history. A visit to a spiritualist séance produces a stranger who offers specific details about his birth.
