Synopsis

During the war, a village woman named Klavdiya finds a small Gypsy boy beside a wagon wrecked by German tanks. She raises him as her own. Sixteen years later, a lone Gypsy named Budulay arrives in the village — quiet, worn by the road, but immediately at ease with her adopted son. Klavdiya suspects who he is. She also knows that saying it out loud could unravel the family she spent years building.
The series works as a love story and as a quieter study of belonging — who counts as family, and what holds people together across a divide the world around them insists is too wide.
