Synopsis

A hired killer surfaces in the high desert, and his trail runs straight into an old wound: the death of Leaphorn's son. The lieutenant and Chee, now moonlighting as a PI, work a case tangled up with a secretive cult. Sergeant Manuelito and Sheriff Gordo Sena lend a hand, but the price of justice keeps climbing. Chee finds himself choosing, again and again, between the badge and his own people.
