Z Nation Season 5 — watch online on iFILM, thirteen episodes (Syfy, 2018). The apocalypse got political. After four seasons on the road, the team finally reaches Newmerica: a territory where someone is genuinely trying to build a new country from scratch.
The new element is Talkers — zombies who retain enough cognition to speak, kept functioning by a special food called bizkits. They want equal rights. Altura, the region's dominant settlement, refuses. Warren recovers from a drone crash at the home of a mysterious man named Cooper, while the others land in Newmerica and join George, who is pulling together a vote to establish the new nation. Murphy, naturally, is running an underground casino called Limbo that shelters Talkers on the run. The season's real question is who is bombing communities and what exactly Estes and Pandora have planned.

Warren recovers from the drone crash with handsome, mysterious Cooper; Doc and the others finally arrive in Newmerica, where they meet George, who is helping form the new country.
