Synopsis
Memphis Belle (1990) is a WWII drama directed by Michael Caton-Jones — watch online on iFILM. By the summer of 1943, the young American crew of the B-17 bomber have completed twenty-four combat missions over occupied Europe. One more flight stands between them and the ticket home: a heavily defended run over Bremen.
Matthew Modine leads an ensemble that includes Eric Stoltz, Billy Zane, and Sean Astin as men barely out of their teens trying not to do the arithmetic on their own odds. The screenplay draws on the real crew's story, first documented in William Wyler's 1944 wartime short that became one of the most-screened films of the era.
