Tokyo Cowboy (2024) is a US-Japan comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Hideki is the sort of Tokyo businessman who talks faster than he thinks. He sells his bosses on a plan: take a loss-making Montana cattle ranch and turn it into a premium Wagyu operation. They buy it. He heads to America.
The Wagyu expert he was counting on proves useless. Hideki is standing on a Montana ranch with no workable plan, a herd he doesn't understand, and locals who aren't particularly interested in being charmed. The missing piece, he slowly figures out, is himself. Arata Iura — known for his work with Hirokazu Kore-eda — plays Hideki with exactly the right amount of deflating self-awareness.
