Reverse the Curse

"Reverse the Curse" (2024) is an American comedy-drama to watch online on iFILM, written and directed by David Duchovny, who also appears on screen as Marty — a Boston father with a fatal illness and an unshakeable faith in the Red Sox.

Logan Marshall-Green plays Ted, Marty's thirty-something son who moved back home with nothing to offer except time. When Ted notices his father's health tanks every time the team loses, he drafts Marty's friends and grief counselor Mariana — played by Stephanie Beatriz — to fake a winning streak. Pamela Adlon and Jason Biggs round out a cast that handles the tonal shifts without making them feel like lurches. Funnier than it looks, sadder than it lets on.
