The Temptation

Perfetta illusione (2022), released as The Temptation, is an Italian drama directed by Pappi Corsicato — watch it online on iFILM. Toni (Giuseppe Maggio) has been waiting for a promotion at the spa where he works. He gets fired instead, over a misunderstanding, and hides the whole thing from his wife Paola.

While keeping up appearances, he runs into Chiara (Margherita Vicario), a young and wealthy woman who spots in him the artist he never became. She offers him a position at her art gallery — and something more complicated alongside it. What starts as an unexpected second chance quietly turns into a love triangle built on ambition, concealment and the question of how much a person is willing to trade for the life they once imagined.
