Synopsis
The Immortal (L'Immortale, 2019) is an Italian crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A spin-off of the Gomorrah saga, it pulls Ciro Di Marzio out of the freezing waters of the Gulf of Naples after everyone believed he was dead.
Marco D'Amore directs and plays the lead. The story runs on two timelines. In the present, an exiled Ciro takes a fresh mission from his old mentor Bruno and slips back into gang warfare with nothing left to lose. The other thread reaches back to 1980: an earthquake levels a Naples building, a newborn cries under the rubble, and that orphan grows up on cruel streets into a cold, calculating killer. Both halves bleed into one portrait of how a man earns the name "immortal."
