Synopsis
Little Alexander (1981) — watch online on iFILM, a Soviet-East German war drama directed by Vladimir Fokin. May 1945. Soviet soldiers sweep a liberated German town, Blankenhain, neutralising the last Werewolf holdouts and trying to keep the local children out of the crossfire. When refugees abandon an infant boy, the soldiers name him Alexander. Together with newspaper correspondent Tessa Genzer, they set up a makeshift orphanage with gunfire still possible in the surrounding streets.
