Parallels (Season 1)

Parallels (Parallèles, 2022) is a French sci-fi drama you can watch online on iFILM, made for Disney+ and directed by Jean-Baptiste Saurel. Four childhood friends from a town on the French-Swiss border — Bilal, Romaine, Samuel, and Victor — are split apart in one unexplained night and each end up in a different version of reality.

None of them knows where the others landed, and the worlds they wake up in look almost familiar but aren't. Timoté Rigault, Thomas Chomel, Omar Mebrouk, Jules Houplain, and Jade Pedri play teenagers who have to piece together what happened while dealing with timelines where people they know are strangers. The tagline puts it plainly: to find themselves, they'll have to get lost.
