Escalation

Escalation (2023) is a Canadian crime thriller directed by Jimmy Mak — stream it online on iFILM. A former cop drives back to his hometown expecting to finish old business, and instead finds his brother dead at a crime scene he suddenly has to explain.

The local force is dirty, and they pin the killing on him without much trouble. Cornered, he teams up with a younger detective working the same case from the other side of the badge.
