The End

Then the phones go dead. Then people start vanishing, one by one, without a trace or a sound. The survivors try to reach the outside world and find they can't. Torregrossa leaves the cause unexplained and keeps it that way through the final frame — which makes this either a genuinely unsettling piece of quiet sci-fi or an exercise in frustration, depending on your patience with films that refuse to show their hand.
