First Love

First Love (2023) is a Russian drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Svetlana Proskurina. Two work colleagues — senior Anna Sergeyevna and younger Lena — check into a country sanatorium, and something goes wrong almost immediately.

They witness a crime. That makes them part of it, whether they want to be or not. Marina Brusnikina and Liza Kugay play the pair as they dig into the sanatorium's past, while Igor Vernik's Georgiy — the prime suspect — becomes a presence that's hard to read and harder to avoid. Proskurina keeps the atmosphere slow and close, the danger building in the gaps between scenes.
