Synopsis

Detective Viktor Burakov spent eight years tracking a killer the Soviet state refused to acknowledge. More than fifty victims — most of them children — while superiors kept insisting that serial murder was a capitalist disease, not a Soviet reality. Every evidence report came back stamped and buried. Every request for forensic resources was denied. The killer kept going.
