Synopsis
Hovering Blade (彷徨之刃, 2024) is a Chinese crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Widower Li Changfeng has one child, a teenage daughter. When a group of minors assaults and kills her, the law that shields young offenders leaves him with almost nothing.
So he stops waiting for a verdict. Li tracks the boys who destroyed his family on his own, closing in faster than the detectives assigned to the case. Soon everyone is chasing him — the criminals he has marked and the police sworn to bring him in. The deeper his revenge runs, the harder it gets to say where justice ends and a father's rage begins.
The story comes from Keigo Higashino's novel The Wandering Blade, already filmed in Japan and Korea, with director Chen Zhuo resetting it in present-day China. Wang Qianyuan carries the whole picture as the father — not an action-movie avenger but a man hollowed out by grief who simply can't do nothing.
